Join me for a relaxing and inspiring outdoor watercolor workshop this spring! Set in the heart of Bryant Park, we’ll spend the morning capturing the beauty of blooming flowers, spring trees, and charming park life — all against a backdrop of cityscapes and strolling people. With lively brushstrokes and fresh watercolor techniques, you’ll learn how to bring a scene to life on paper.

As part of my popular 1-Day Outdoor Watercolor Workshop Series, this session is designed for anyone looking to:

  • Unwind and enjoy a creative morning in nature

  • Learn new watercolor skills with live demos and personal guidance

  • Connect with a fun, supportive group of fellow art lovers

What to Expect:

We’ll guide you step-by-step through a relaxed and engaging session:

10:30 AM – Welcome & Setup
Get your materials, find your spot, and settle into the park vibe.

10:45 AM – Demo & Warm-Up Sketches
Intro to watercolor techniques and quick sketching exercises.

11:15 AM – Main Painting Session
Work on your park-inspired scene with one-on-one guidance and tips.

12:45 PM – Final Touches & Group Share
Wrap up your artwork, share your progress (optional!), and enjoy a relaxing close.

Materials Provided: A watercolor travel kit will be ready for you — just bring your creativity!

Outdoor Watercolor Workshop FAQ

  • This course is designed for all levels. No prior experience is necessary — just a love of painting outdoors!

  • A watercolor starter kit will be provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own supplies if you prefer.

    Provided materials:

    • Travel-size watercolor set

    • Two watercolor brushes (different sizes)

    • Watercolor paper

    • Waterproof ink pen

    • Water container

    What you should bring:

    • Portable seating (folding stool or blanket)

    • Sunscreen & hat

    • Water bottle

  • After you register, you’ll receive detailed directions and a map.

  • In case of bad weather, we’ll either:

    • Reschedule the session

    • Move to an indoor location

    In case of unpleasant weather preventing the outdoor class, I will offer an alternative indoors. Students will have the option to join another class or receive a coupon for rescheduling the class within six months. If you cancel a class with less than 48 hours' notice, you can reschedule your reservation for another class within the next six months.

  • Each outdoor session will be approximately 3 hours, including quick workshop, work on painting, and a group share

  • Comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing you don’t mind getting a little paint on. Dress in layers and wear sturdy shoes.

  • Yes! I’ll be taking some casual photos and short video clips during the workshop to capture the creative atmosphere and beautiful moments of the day.

    What will the photos/videos be used for?
    These may be shared on my website, social media, or future workshop promotions to help others get a feel for the experience.

    Do I have to be in the photos/videos?
    Not at all! If you prefer not to be photographed or filmed, just let me know at the beginning of the session — I’ll completely respect your preference.

    Can I take photos of my work or the setting?
    Absolutely! You’re more than welcome to snap photos of your artwork, your painting setup, or the scenery — it’s part of the fun!

    Will I receive any of the photos from the day?
    Yes! I’ll share a few highlight photos with the group after the session. If you’d like access to more, just let me know and I can send a link to the shared gallery.
